  1. Hundreds of people came out the 15th Empty Bowls Dinner on the 19th of February. They got a great bowl of chili, a beautiful hand made pottery bowl, had great fun with friends and family and were entertained with live music. It was quite an evening and fun was had by all. We want to thank all of the hard working volunteers, the potters, Bobby Nolen and his helpers, Tanya Shearer and entire Empty Bowls Committee for all of the hard work that went into making this years Empty Bowls such a great success. Over 11,000. dollars was raised in support of the Cullman Caring for Kids/United Way Food Bank. To all a very big Thank You!!

The Cullman Lions Club always goes above and beyond.  A few years ago the Cullman Lions Club decided to raise money for the Cullman Caring for Kids Food Bank by parking car during Rock the South. Lions Fred Osborne and Dennis Berse spearheaded the effort.  With the help of all the Lions Club Members over the years their motto has grown tremendously. As the result  of hard work the Lions raised more than they ever have before. The lions Club Charities matched a portion to bring the total for this year to $25,615.07.  What a great effort by the Cullman Lions Club and a huge BLESSING for the Cullman Caring for Kids Food Bank. There is no way we can ever express our gratitute  for all the hard work and the blessing this will bring to those in need. God Bless the Cullman Lions Club!!

Cullman Primary School just reached their 100 days in school this year and to celebrate they had a challenge for every classroom to collect 100 cans of food for Cullman Caring for Kids Food Bank.  Wow, did they reach their goal they collected 1208 lbs. of food during the challenge. This is awesome for more than just the food they collected. It means that these children are learning what it means to give back to the community. What a great project. THANK YOU!!

For the past several years Warehouse Discount Grocery has been selling per packaged bags for $5 and donating all bags sold to Cullman Caring for Kids Food Bank.  When a customer paid for the bag it was placed in a bin at the front of the store. When the bin was full they would contact CCK to pickup the bags.  Warehouse Discount Grocery has done this food donation program for the past several year. It not only gives each customer the opportunity to help the Food Bank, but the store as well. Each bag weights approximately 5lbs and contains such things as soup, rice or beans, crackers and tuna a very good start to help feed the hungry. The food bank personnel took that start and added more nutritious food until that bags weights approximately 25lbs. We give a big shout out to Warehouse Discount Grocery all three Cullman County stores and their customers who donated 1,192 bags during the holidays. THANK YOU ALL.
