Cullman County Sheriff's Department Litter Crew has collected over 45,000 pounds of trash across county roadways since February 1.
The litter crew has netted over 1,000 pounds of aluminum cans with the money collected by Sheriff Matt Gentry, being donated to Cullman Caring for Kids.
Caring for Kids Executive Director Javon Daniel reports every $100 collected can buy 700 pounds of food. The organization was able to purchase more than 3,700 pounds of food through the assistance by the sheriff's department litter crew.
If a resident wants trash to be picked up from a county road, contact the road crew by e-mail to trash@cullmansheriff.org

County Road 222 is very badly littered, especially between Ryans Creek Produce and Whitlock's Grocery.
